Today we cover municipal election day across the Upper Fraser Valley, followed by the Hope commercial trucking investigation and the District 1881 entrepreneurship story.

The most consequential municipal decision scheduled for today is Hope's Hudson Bay Street zoning amendment, while Chilliwack's school board meeting deserves attention because it marks the end of service for three trustees.

The strongest local news this morning. Yesterday's massive power failure is also worth following after more than 26,000 Chilliwack customers lost electricity.
